Out of Ctrl
A GMTK Game Jam 2020 submission.
A 2D top-down puzzle game inspired by Baba is You and STRANGE KEYWORLD.
Push key blocks into their slots to gain control of the qwert. Regain Ctrl (and possible other keys) to get to the get through to the end. There are fourteen levels total. Can you get through them all?
Note: For thos of you who don't want to play on the browser, there is a windows executable version of this game available for download below!

Quite a clever game! Levels 13 and 14 were the first ones that stumped somewhat stumped me. More border-based levels would be cool.
When the player attempts to push two or more blocks simultaneously, instead of pushing all of the blocks together, some weird shuffling patterns go on, and then only the furthest block in the stack gets pushed in the intended direction, the other block goes back to their original positions, and the player overlaps with the closes block.
I added a bookmark to this webpage because of lvl 9...

really good game but gets annoyingly difficult some times. skill issue not game issue so dw
the use of ctrl ik is meant to be a symbolic thing, but it ends up bookmarking, closing the tab, etc.
17 min to beat great puzzles lots of bugs tho :/

really hard, i stopped on lvl 11 lol
Oh also once i had to restart as i pressed control-w and it closed the tab if i remember correctly. :/
i wrapped around in level 2 to fix the controls lol
waghghhghghgh this is goooood! my brain felt sufficiently squished by these puzzles : )
Wacky :) Sometimes indeed keycombos will end up doing unintended stuff, still very much worth it! Short (if you can figure this sort of stuff out), but fun!

on lvl 9 i used the w and when i pressed ctlr + w i closed the window and i thought that was how it was supposed to end lol very cute game
beat without the ctrl button
This made me want to try and see how far I could get without using the Ctrl button at all. It seems to be possible only up to level 8, which can only be beaten in the intended way (I believe).

Este juego es increíble, lo recomiendo totalmente, sobretodo si no tienes un buen PC, este juego va de maravilla para aquellos como yo que no podemos jugar juegos buenos debido a nuestro PC de la prehistoria, un juegazo.
